Our Centre

Shanghai SISU Educational Information Center for International Exchanges (SISU Study-Abroad Center), founded in 1986, is verified as one of the three earliest legal study-abroad agencies in Shanghai. The Center, affiliated to Shanghai International Studies University (founded in 1949, one of the top universities of ¡®211 Project¡¯ in China) has abundant information resources, as well as long-term friendly cooperative relationship with a number of foreign institutes. Our centre offers a range of services including overseas study consultation, language training and vocational programming.

Features of Our Services

Under normal circumstances, students will start to prepare for their overseas study one year ahead of graduation. Although there will be enough time for students to do the preparation, they may still face enormous trivial difficulties such as notarization of materials, exchange of currency, application for loans for overseas study, purchasing of airline tickets and booking of accommodation etc. Since our goal is to provide the best services to students rather than make profits, we have built solid and friendly cooperative relationship with notarization institutions, banks and airline companies which supply personal VIP services to our clients. Also, there are free additional services such as trainings for visa interview.

Our Team

There are around 40 employees in the center, 44% of which have bachelor degree, 26% have master degree and 22% have overseas study or work experience. All consultants are experienced professionals with excellent capabilities of helping students apply for schools and visas. All the study plans are designed subject to the individual¡¯s qualification perfectly. All center members do their utmost to help students realize their dream of studying abroad.

Vocational programming

Counselors in the center not only help students design their study plans, but also their future. The center provides students guidance in language training, college application and visa application, which are highly appreciated by the clients. As for students who have no clear idea of what major to choose, our counselors will recommend some popular majors with promising employment prospects, and invite specialists to give lectures on global and domestic employment situation so as to help students find majors suitable for them.

Instruction of Foreign Counselors

Almost all the students wishing to study abroad have to pass certain language tests, no matter which country they would like to study in. Foreign counselors in the center will estimate the students¡¯ language ability and provide instruction to them accordingly to help them better prepare for their coming tests. Many students may feel very nervous when they attend a face-to-face visa interview. Both Chinese and foreign experts in the center will help students build up their confidence and ease their pressure, and therefore enable them to get the visa successfully.

Monthly Activities

The center hold colorful activities once a month. Officials from Consulate General and representatives from foreign universities will be invited to our seminars. We also hold symposia with the presence of students who have finished their study abroad, foreign students in China, job-hunting experts and teachers from language training centers. Such kind of activities can help students get a clear idea of what it is like to study in a foreign country, and enable them to adapt to their new life abroad more easily. Indeed, these activities provide very practical information, and therefore are very popular among students and their parents. Please refer to newspapers and our website for more information.
